William Klippgen, internet investor & entrepreneur whose company was acquired by Yahoo! in one of Europe's largest internet transactions. He heads Tigris Capital which invests in early-stage, digital media companies across Europe & Asia. He believes in helping entrepreneurs succeed as a part of giving back to the community.
William Klippgen is a Singapore-based Norwegian investor and entrepreneur. In 1997, he founded Zoomit.com with Per Siljubergsåsen. Zoomit.com merged with Kelkoo in 2000 to become Europe's leading shopping comparison search engine and its third largest e-commerce site. Yahoo Inc. then acquired Kelkoo in 2004 in one of Europe's largest Internet transactions.
In 2003, he founded the early-stage investment company Tigris Capital, which invests in early-stage, digital media companies across Europe & Asia. He co-founded Singapore seed investment fund BAF Spectrum in 2006 which primarily invests in fast-growing tech startups across Asia in a co-funding partnership with SPRING Singapore, a statutory board under the Ministry of Trade and Industry of Singapore. Klippgen sits on the boards of Tickled Media (which runs LiveJournal South East Asia and theAsianparent.com), Anafore.com, Mozat Pte Ltd, Progeniq Pte Ltd and Synaptic Technologies AS.
